Happy Fall!
The September chill is in the air! I love this time of year when the leaves are changing and I can start bringing out my cozy clothes! Camden sure is changing a lot these days as well! He’ll be 11 months in a few days. It’s hard to believe! Tomorrow, the Littleton Hospital NICU is hosting their annual reunion. We’re looking forward to seeing all of the amazing nurses and doctors that went though the incredible journey wih us (which seems like a lifetime ago). We’re also hoping to see Camden’s birthday buddy, Cosmo along with some of the other preemies that were in the NICU while we were there. It’s amazing to think that he went from 2 lbs 7 oz and bruised beyond belief to close to 17 lbs and healthy as can be. He’s our miracle baby!
Camden is changing daily and his latest trick in scooting his bootay across the room. He’s also leaning over, getting ready for that crawling position. He’ll now get up on his hands and knees and do a lot of rocking, which is telling us that we’d better baby proof the house soon. I’m guessing that he’ll be all over the place in a couple of weeks! YIKES! Last weekend, we also got a sneak peek at his first tooth! He loves table food and eats solids three times a day. His favorite is a Chipotle burrito :0). He continues to be a very happy baby. People have to stop and say hello to him everywhere we go! He’s also a great sleeper! He’ll be in bed by 8:00 at night and won’t get up until 6:00-6:30 am.
I went back to teaching this fall and it’s been great! I’ve enjoyed getting my brain back into the game and have a great class this year! Our WONDERFUL daycare lady lives two blocks away which makes things so much better! He’s so happy at her house - it’s like Disneyland for babies!! We’re very fortunate to have her!
We hope you’re doing well and enjoying the fall! Check out the new pictures I posted!
Take care,

Summer Fun!
Hello and happy summer (what’s left of it)!
We’ve been very busy this summer! Camden has become quite the traveler! He’s flown three times already and does really well on an airplane! We went to San Diego in June with our friends Tia, Tyler, & their little one, Elliot. We had a wonderful time playing with the kids on the beach and Camden went into the pool for the first time. He wasn’t too sure about it, but gradually liked the water. As for the ocean, he thought it was way too cold! We also went to Fargo and Brainerd to spend time with the family in July. Ryan’s family has a reunion at their lake home in South Dakota every year and we were there for the 4th of July as well. We also drove to Brainerd to visit Grandma Gloria which was a quick trip. We’ve been trying to go up to the mountains as much as we can. Summertime is a great time of year to spend in the Rockies. It’s not so hot up there and there’s always a festival or event going on.
I’ll be starting school in two weeks already! It’s hard to believe that we’re coming up on Camden’s 10 month birthday! I’m anxious to get in the classroom again and teach 4th grade. We got extremely lucky to find a wonderful and caring lady who has a small in-home daycare literally across the street from my school! She has a 5 year old who will be coming to kindergarten at BRE and so will be walking him (with Camden) to school every day. It should be around my lunchtime, so I’ll be able to see the little munchkin for a minute or two each day! Like I said, we sure lucked out!!
The peanut is really growing and can sit up on his own and loves to play! We’re working on getting him to roll (he’s done it twice). He’s eating a little table food now which is hilarious! The looks he gives us when we give him something new always cracks us up! He continues to be such a happy baby. Everywhere we go people comment on his smile. He loves people and seems pretty easy going so far!
We hope you’re doing well. We’ve had so much fun with visitors this summer and will always welcome more! Take care and enjoy the rest of your summer!
xoxo

We Survived Our Last “Specialist” Appointment!
It’s been a while since we’ve updated, I guess you could say we’ve been busy figuring out an infant. Camden is 8 months old today! It’s hard to believe that he’s been in our lives for that long. It seems like just yesterday that we were caught in the whirlwind of his birth. He had his 8 month check-up with Dr. Sachs today and he weighed in at a whopping 14 lbs 8 oz and grew 2 inches! The Doc said that he’s looking good and growing well. He’ll even start to eat some table food now as well. We’re thinking that Camden is going to be Dakota’s new best friend with all the food that will most likely fall to the floor! :0)
Yesterday, we met with Dr. Rothenberg, the surgeon who performed the inguinal hernia surgery. He gave us great news and said that all is well “down there” and he won’t need to see us again. His belly button hernia is still there, but much smaller and he feels that it’ll close up in the next several months. That was our last specialist appointment and somehow we’ve survived them all with success! We’re lucky to have such a healthy baby!!!
Some of Camden’s new tricks include standing up. He loves to stand and will actually move his feet as if he’s walking (with help of course). We’re thinking he’ll skip right over crawling and get right to walking. In a hurry, just like his dad! He can almost sit up on his own as well. He’s a pretty strong little guy. He’s not rolling yet and hates to lie on his tummy. He’s been putting almost everything he can into his mouth lately and I’m guessing that some teeth will be coming into sight soon.
He’s definately a charmer and will smile at everyone and everything. I love that about him! His smiles brighten our every moment. He’s also becoming a good little traveler! We’re heading off to San Diego this week for a little vacation with our friends, The Pedews. Camden will get to put his feet in the sand (along with eating some of it I suppose) and do a little surfing in the Pacific. Should be a few Kodak Moments on this trip!
We hope you all are having a fun filled summer! Come on out to Colorado and see us!
