Happy Valentine’s Day!

Well, we’re starting to get into a bit of a routine here in the Pinke household. I’m learning that Mr. Camden doesn’t like to take too long of naps when we’re home, but when we’re out and about, he’ll sleep all day. So, that sure does make me want to get out often ;0). He’s just over 4 months old now and we’re seeing more smiles on our little cupid. He’s also beginning to interact with us more and like to look at and listen to toys that we stick in his face.

Our little sweetheart sure is growing! He’s a whopping 9 lbs 4 oz and 21 1/2 in. long! His pediatrician said physically he’s rating as a 4 month old and socially as a 3 to 3 1/2 month old. The bizaare thing is that his doctor wants us to start feeding him rice cereal twice a day. I think I about fell off my chair when he told me that one! He looks too little to start eating cereal! Then, he told me that in a month he’ll start eating orange veggies - WHAT!?? That seems crazy! But, I guess he’s growing up to be a big boy! We also met with his cardiologist last week and he had an echo. The good news is that the moderate hole in his heart, called an ASD (Atrial Septal Defect:  http://www.daviddarling.info/encyclopedia/A/atrial_septal_defect.html), is now a small hole. Dr. Washington said that some people can live to be 90 and have a small ASD, but we’re still hoping Camden’s closes. We’ll go back in 3 months. The doctor was very optimistic that Camden won’t have to have surgery for his ASD. Keep your fingers crossed.

Other than that, all is well. We’re celebrating Valentine’s Day at home with the best Valentine gift we could ask for. We hope you have a day full of hugs and kisses!

Love,

jolie, ryan, camden, and dakota
